WHAT IS STRIKING?
The CrossFit Striking programme provides basic instruction on how to throw a correct punch, kick, knee and elbow strike with maximum power/velocity and reducing risk of injury.
We start with the basics and then add more complex striking combinations (jab, straight, hooks, uppercuts, knees and elbows). Once these fundamentals are grasped, we add these strikes into your typical CrossFit WOD. You are getting an amazing workout while learning a functional movement that will raise your confidence and increase the ability to protect yourself.
This is NOT a martial arts class, and there is no sparring - so you're not going to get hit in the face!
But you are going to get a helluva workout.
All levels of experience are welcome, and NO previous striking/fighting/martial arts experience is necessary.
